Knowledge is power.
Everything you need to know about cannabis, cannabinoids, and making informed choices.
Cannabinoids 101
Understanding THC, THCA, CBD, and the entourage effect.
Delta-9 THC
The primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. Responsible for the "high" sensation. Our products contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC (hemp-derived).
THCA
The raw, non-psychoactive acid form of THC. When heated (smoked, vaped, cooked), THCA converts to Delta-9 THC through decarboxylation. This is why raw THCA flower is federally legal.
CBD
Non-psychoactive cannabinoid known for potential therapeutic benefits. Works synergistically with other cannabinoids through the entourage effect.
The Entourage Effect
The theory that cannabinoids and terpenes work better together than isolated. Full-spectrum products may provide more balanced effects.
Strain Types
Indica, Sativa, Hybrid—what actually matters.
The Truth About Indica vs Sativa
Traditional classifications are often oversimplified. Modern research shows terpene profiles and cannabinoid ratios matter more than plant structure.
Indica
Traditionally associated with relaxation and body effects. Often higher in myrcene and other sedating terpenes. Best for evening use.
Sativa
Traditionally associated with energy and focus. Often higher in limonene and pinene. Best for daytime use.
Hybrid
Balanced combinations of indica and sativa genetics. Effects vary widely based on specific terpene and cannabinoid profiles. Most modern strains are hybrids.
Terpenes
The aromatic compounds that define your experience.
Myrcene
Earthy, musky aroma. Found in mangoes and lemongrass. Associated with relaxation and sedation. Most abundant terpene in cannabis.
Limonene
Citrus aroma. Found in lemon rinds and oranges. Associated with mood elevation and stress relief. May have antimicrobial properties.
Pinene
Pine aroma. Found in pine needles and rosemary. Associated with alertness and memory retention. May counteract some THC effects.
Caryophyllene
Spicy, peppery aroma. Found in black pepper and cloves. Unique ability to bind to CB2 receptors. May have anti-inflammatory properties.
Linalool
Floral, lavender aroma. Found in lavender and mint. Associated with calming and stress relief. May have sedative properties.
Consumption Methods
How you consume matters as much as what you consume.
Smoking (Flower)
Fastest onset (1-5 minutes). Effects last 1-3 hours. Traditional method with full terpene and cannabinoid profile. Requires decarboxylation through heat.
Vaping
Fast onset (5-10 minutes). Potentially less harsh than smoking. Preserves terpene flavors at lower temperatures. Convenient and discreet.
Edibles
Slow onset (30-120 minutes). Effects last 4-8 hours. Processed through liver, creating stronger body effects. Start low, go slow.
Pre-Rolls
Convenient, pre-measured doses. Same effects as flower. Perfect for on-the-go or first-time users. Check for quality rolling and no added fillers.
Dosing & Safety
Start low. Go slow. Listen to your body.
First Time Users
Start with 2.5-5mg THC. Wait at least 2 hours before consuming more. Effects vary based on tolerance, body weight, and metabolism.
Tolerance
Regular use increases tolerance. Take breaks (T-breaks) to reset sensitivity. Lower doses can be more effective with reduced tolerance.
Set & Setting
Your environment and mindset matter. Use in comfortable, safe spaces. Avoid mixing with alcohol or other substances initially.
Storage
Store in cool, dark, dry places. Use airtight containers for flower. Keep edibles away from children and pets. Check expiration dates.
Federal vs State Law
Understanding the 2018 Farm Bill and hemp-derived cannabis.
The 2018 Farm Bill
Federally legalized hemp and hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. This is why THCA flower is federally legal.
State Laws Vary
While federally compliant, some states have additional restrictions. We do not ship to: Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont.
Age Requirements
You must be 21+ to purchase. Age verification required at checkout and delivery. No exceptions.
Drug Testing
THCA converts to THC when consumed. You WILL fail a drug test. Do not use if subject to drug screening.
